The Rainbow Room is spacious and bright. The main area of the room is used for a variety of activities, meal times and sleeping. The art and craft area leads out on to decking and then into the Rainbow Room garden, where children can explore the mud kitchen, sand room and climbing equipment. 

The daily routine includes activities that encompass all areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with a focus on nurturing characteristics of effective learning in the early years and beyond.

Each child’s progress is carefully recorded in their own Learning Journey and reviewed by his/her key person who will plan meaningful play enhancements to further their learning and development.

 

Children have lots of play and discovery opportunities, and some more structured activities. We encourage the children to further develop their independence and social skills by making choices and learning to interact with one another.

 

Staff ratio 1:4 minimum
